hledger-vty software package provides curses-style interface for the hledger accounting tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hledger-vty
hledger-vty is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hledger-vty package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hledger-vty *
You will get with hledger-vty package name, version, architecture and description in a table
